COME JOIN US! for Coffee and Conversation with the Columbia County Sheriff. Tuesday, April 30th from 6-7 p.m. at the Town Hall. Its a free, public event to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know your Sheriff.
There will be a program at Town Hall on Saturday, April 27th at 10:30 a.m. with Premier Tech Septic Systems. They have systems that could be useful in areas such as Twin Lakes, near lake areas and where lots are smaller and closer together. It is open to the public and all are invited to attend.

The Livingston Rec Park will be CLOSED starting November 6th due to the construction project.
Attention Property Owner
The Town of Livingston and Columbia County will be working together to update the property data and photos used by the Livingston Assessor. Data Collectors from Columbia County Real Property will begin field work in a couple of weeks by visiting each property in Livingston to update and photograph inventory.

Twin Lakes Non-Resident Day Swim Passes are sold out. There is a waiting list. Purchase of the Fishing/Swimming early morning and evening passes that allow access before 10 am and after 7 pm are still available. $165. Please email the town clerk -livingstontownclerk@yahoo.com

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Livingston will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 11, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. at the Livingston Town Hall, 119 County Route 19, Livingston, New York, to hear all interested persons on proposed Local Laws:
Local Law #3 of 2024, a law to extend a temporary three (3) month moratorium on Temporary Storage Containers within the Town of Livingston; and
Local Law #4 of 2024, a law to extend a temporary three (3) month moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Systems within the Town of Livingston All persons interested are invited to attend.
A complete copy of the text of the proposed local laws are available at the office of the Livingston Town Clerk during normal business hours or on the Town’s website www.townoflivingston.org.

Code Enforcement, Planning Board and Zoning Board Update:
The Town of Livingston has taken on a project to enhance the user experience with Town Code Enforcement, Planning Board and Zoning Board applications. For the past few months, we have taken all application forms and turned them into online fillable forms, providing the applicant the ability to submit their applications online. As the applicant you can upload attachments, such as property maps, letter of intent, schematics, pictures etc. If the application requires, paper maps will still need to be dropped off at the Code Enforcement Office, along with any application fees.
This project is being rolled out to the public as of June 6, 2023.
K.I.S.S. Program Update
The K.I.S.S. shredding program sponsored by the Columbia County Clerk’s office will be coming again the floowing dates in 2024, see below. Bins are available in the lobby of the Town Hall available during the Town Clerk’s normal business hours.

Information on Trash bags, Recycle permits from CC Solid Waste
Recycle Permits are available at Town Hall for 2023. $50 for age 65+ and $75 for under 65
The Solid Waste program has converted back to the bag system and the tags have stopped being sold, although the tags will continued to be honored at the transfer stations, for the ones already purchased.
The new bags consist of three sizes, SMALL $1.00 each, bag of 5 for $5 MEDIUM $3.00 each, bag of 5 for $15 & LARGE $5.00, bag of 5 for $25

Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced a multi-agency initiative led by the New York State Department of Public Service to encourage eligible New Yorkers to sign up for the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program, a newly-launched program that provides discounts of up to $30 a month toward internet service for low-income families.

Notice from Code Enforcement Office
Beginning April 6, 2016, regulated parties may use either the current or newly adopted provisions of the Uniform Code to represent compliance as part of a building permit application. The new Uniform Code and Energy Code will take effect on October 3, 2016.
Food and Friendship Program
The Columbia County Office of Aging continues to serve 60+ Seniors with the Food & Friendship program located in the Elizaville Firehouse at:
1575 CR 19 Elizaville
Tuesdays and Fridays 10:30-1:30.
Programs include speakers addressing legal issues, nutrition, safety and health concerns, exercise programs, games with prizes and social interaction.
Seniors should call 828-7538 by 1pm the day before (Mon and Thurs) to make reservations.
